Friday Round-up No.10–

Christmas is most definitely in the air – where did that come from?

The last few weeks and no doubt, next couple of weeks are all about finishing projects off and tying up loose ends. The three corporate reports I have been working on are almost completed – two at the printers, one to go.

I have a lot of smaller jobs coming in at the moment – business cards, e-newsletter designs, name badges, last minute Christmas work etc. It's great to be busy but juggling quite a few smaller jobs at the same time, rather than being able to concentrate on something more substantial, can be a little frustrating at times not to mention the challenge keeping up with everything. College is finished and submissions are marked. It is certainly feeling like the end of the year.

I love being in business for myself. Working with clients over a long period of time, getting to know them and developing the relationship as theirs – and my – businesses evolve is really rewarding. I have had a couple enquiries from clients I haven't worked with in a while this week keen to work together again which is really nice. I caught up with one of them today and it was great to pick up where we left off – almost five years on. Looking forward to working with them on a new website project in coming weeks.

Listening to this week: The Housemartins, The 2 Bears, Gaz Coombes, Climbing Trees, Felt, New Order.

Talking of clients, I'm off to a client Xmas do now – have a great weekend.
