Optii Keeper is the world’s leading housekeeping management system used by prestigious hotels throughout Asia, the Pacific and Europe including The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Hyatt Macau, Millenia Singapore, Four Seasons Sydney and The May Fair Hotel, London.
The system allows hotels to manage, predict and optimise cleaning operations. The result is faster turnaround of rooms, better communication between departments and significant improvements in productivity, service quality and, most importantly, guest satisfaction.
The solution consists of two components. Firstly a mobile scheduling tool for room attendants showing which rooms need cleaning and the level of attention each requires. Secondly workflow is managed centrally giving supervisors real-time cleaning progress data, steamlined communications and highlighting areas for improvement. The system has enabled increases of productivity of 10-20% and reduced manual communication needs by 60%.
I worked with Optii's team of business analysts and developers on the user interface design in an agile manner, working through design iterations prior to it's current version implementation. The system requires a vast amount of dynamic information and functionality to be presented in an intuitive way allowing staff to perform complex tasks quickly and with ease.
